REASONABLE SUSPICION Training

What You as an Employer Need to Know

Vermont Truck & Bus Association and Associated General Contractors of Vermont in cooperation with Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles and Downs Rachlin Martin PLLC will be presenting this informational seminar focusing on avoiding the pitfalls of employee discipline and discharge in Vermont when it comes to substance abuse in the workplace.

Primary Topics:

  • Examining Vermont State laws impacting employee discipline issues;
  • Learning best practices in documentation of employee misconduct;
  • Developing a fair approach to determining if discipline is appropriate;
  • Obtaining discipline and discharge checklists;
  • Identifying distinctions between “at-will” and “for cause;”
  • Exploring benefits of separation agreements and releases.

Also: Reasonable Suspicion training as required by FMCSA (meets 49 CFR 382.603)
